From parcel research to permit-ready drawings, this eight-week, hands-on online workshop shows you what residential practice is really like, taught in Rhino.
The project
Pick a real lot, design an ADU or an addition, and draw it the way a working architect would.
How it works
This is an intensive workshop. We meet online every Tuesday and Thursday, 7 to 8:30 pm Pacific. Tuesdays introduce new drafting skills, with a short drill to complete before Thursday. Thursdays apply those skills to the next drawing, with a longer assignment due the following Tuesday. Expect to put in real work between sessions, the same way you would in practice.
Who it’s for
Open to all levels. No CAD experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to work.
What you need
A computer that can run Rhino 8, plus a Rhino license or the free 90-day trial, which covers the whole workshop. Start the trial just before week one.
What you’ll produce
| A0.0 | Cover sheet with your own title block |

Dates aren’t set yet. Tell Jamie a little about you and the lot you want to work on, and you’ll be first to hear by email when they are. Every lot gets a quick check before week one to make sure the project is workable.
